nothing special, just wrapped a very basic gui around waninkoko’s backup-creator.exe so i don’t have to call the command line each time I want to patch a game for the backup loader.
usage:
======
simply doubleklick bc-gui.exe (can be located anywhere on your harddrive, doesn’t have to be in the same folder as the iso), will prompt you for an iso and start converting it (showing you the progress in MB & percentage). resulting file will be named “{insert you game’s name}(converted).iso”
as opposed to “partition.iso” when using the original command line patcher.
I changed the Wad Manager V1.1 Channel into Wad Manager V1.2!!!
I kept the picture, because I like it and find that the owners (WANIKOKO) has the right to use only their picture!!!
If you already have the Wad Manager V1.1 Channel installed at your Wii, just install this one and the old one will be updated! No deinstall of Version 1.1 required!

[ DESCRIPTION ]:
- WAD Manager is an application that allows you to (un)install
WAD packages.
It lists all the available WAD packages in a storage device
so you can select which ones to (un)install.

[ HOW TO USE ]:
1. Create a folder called “wad” in the root of the storage device.
2. Copy all the WAD packages in the folder created in the step 1.
3. Run the application with any method to load homebrew.

- If a Custom IOS is detected, WAD Manager will load it automatically to
take advantage of its benefits.

This is me loading waninkoko’s leaked loader and then I load Wiigators Modified GeckoOS1.07 WAD CHANNEL
WiiGator Over at Tehskeen created an open source backup loader based off of Gecko OS and waninkoko’s backup loader sources to create backup launcher. It fixes the NTSC issues that are in the original leaked loader, and has faster load times reported with some games, and fixes some audio sync issues. seems other compatibility issues are fixed (such as the “green screen” freeze. source is available on the original thread. Dont know if Cheats work. Games still need to be decrypted (you can still use waninkokos patcher, but wiigator also created a new tool (i didnt bother compiling it)
You patch the ISO with the .exe that came in the download:
”you put the ISO in the same folder as the patcher and the common key thingie. The right click the ISO, click ‘Open With…’ and choose the patcher exe thingie ”
Instructions:
Install CIOS 249 WAD on your Wii using WAD Manger. (Remember + to execute)
Install DVDX through Homebrew Channel, select Advanced settings and choose 249. (Uninstall previous version)
Put dvd-backup.dol in apps folder, rename to boot.dol.
Patch ISO using backup creator.exe.
Burn ISO (Partition) using Nero or Imgburn. I used 4x speed, try for lower.
Use Homebrew Channel to run dvd-backup.dol. (Renamed boot.dol)
Download includes all needed files (apart from ISO’s lol)

just install waninkokos backup loader as normal and replace the dol. or install the wad. Games still need to be patched.
